Well finally here it is - Blog No 2! Not quite the blog a day guy am i? However i intend to blog only when i feel i have something that is blog worthy (can I say that, Blog Worthy, that's a bit self indulgent of me isn't it? Who says I blog well anyway!)
Any way, i have just returned from a trip to Sydney to visit my 94 year old mother on her birthday, good innings that one - sure hope it is hereditary ( Damn, and that's no good either - I'm adopted, but that's another story) My luck as per blog 1 held out for me with delayed flights, bad weather and a birthday present that may yet turn out t be useless - apparently hearing aids and TV headsets are not exactly compatible.
Back to my blog point, whilst away my darling gorgeous wife continued to blog so i had some reading to catch up on, and buried between her love of frogs and pictures of nature (great shots too) were two blogs that revealed some thoughts that she had not said to out loud - read on:
Point 1:
Apparently i am a phsycic (Physco maybe but Physcic???) I have predicted the demise of her beloved DSLR camera which has decided it needs to go to a better place in the sky! Normally a person would be pretty chuffed at being able to predict the future but no, not me, i of course failed to predict the four figure sum to replace said beloved camera!!! (which i will do with love in my heart and great happiness for the finance company who own my credit Card !)
Point 2:
My darling GW also disclosed a yearning to return to her native country town in the Riverina and visit her best friend whom she is missing greatly. Being the ever loving husband this brought a tear to my eye and fiendish plan to my head - I would cash in all my frequent flyer points and get a real cheap return airfare to her destination!!! What a plan, what a great idea. what a blasted con job !!! After searching for dates and available bookings for the required travel I boldly set off into the unknown territory of booking flights and paying via a loyalty program thinking how great is this!! That was until i got the bit about the entering the flyers name, at which point i duly typed in my GWs name - which was immediately rejected! "Sorry, the name you entered does not match the name on your card" No bloody kidding, i don't want to go i want to send my wife!!
Well no amount of reentering would let me get around this obstacle so i did what all red blooded males finally do - I read the terms and conditions of my loyalty program and right there in black and white in paragraph 3.7.99.01 ver 2 it Say's and i quote "Only the card holder can travel" I will give you three guesses as to which expletives fell out of my mouth ! Now What? Well that was the easy part, carry on regardless and pay full price!
GW is now booked to visit her best friend for two glorious weeks, although it will be cold there in july and travelling on fully paid (not redeemed ) seats! This little exercise has cost a lot more than my great plan thought it would but it will repay itself to me in the love i have for GW and the great delight she will have in visiting her very best friend in the world !!!!
So, whats the point?
1. Read the fine print first !
2. If you are going to read your GW's blogs then be prepared to make her the happiest person in the world!!!!!
( A Little self indulgent this blog - but i love GW so much and was so happy to do this for her that i thought it worthy of a little blog from me )
My gorgeous wife is for ever telling me that there is bad energy surrounding me that causes all sorts of disasters to occur with anything i am involved with! Yeah sure thing i say, that is just nonsense, its just the dumb things i am dealing with!
Let me tell you that if ever your life partner says this to you STOP, LISTEN, hire an energy consultant!
Why? because in my case she is 100 % right, read on and learn.
I could start with the hundreds of things that have broken gone missing or just stopped working when in my possession but i do not want to bore you so i will just tell you one little story about a Laptop.
Once upon a time gorgeous wife (GW) had no laptop so i arranged to buy one for her, nothing over the top but something that would perform adequately. Home comes the lap top complete with extra RAM - that promptly stopped working two minutes after i set up the lap top for GW! Back to the store, new ram inserted and back to GW who immediately decreed that i was not touch the Laptop again ! OK, so i followed here advise and things went fine until a few months later and i borrowed it to look up something on the Internet. promptly the laptop packs up and shuts down, which i now know was due to overheating, so i fixed that for GW by buying a fan board to coo the LT.
Years later the LT is still working fine but GW decides that she would now like a nice new Laptop, preferably an Apple (whoops, is that advertising?) so being the loving hubby i bought one direct off the web and due to be delivered in five days. Well, Six floods, torrential rain, three dozen road closures and two weeks later it arrives - great timing on my behalf! GW is rapt and so am i, i get to have her old laptop Yeah for me! First off i clear off all unwanted files, remove unnecessary users and seet it up to suit me, well i should have poked myself in the eye with a blunt straw because the laptop was out to get me, IE stopped working, my email packed it in, web sites i visit freeze up and even Face book became a little faceless when it refused to let me add my favorite footy jumper! Prior to this Skype would not work and the blue screen of death became a close friend! Why, just because, just because i am using it, just because i want the LT to do what an LT should do. Off course there is no sympathy from GW, she just reminds me about the bad energy and laughs, just a wicked little laugh but enough to make me wonder, is this just another little test?????
